The
fifth-ever Antiques@TheHolt took
place over the weekend of November 21st & 22nd
2015. There had been a number of changes since the previous
fair in March, and as well as some new faces among the
list of dealers, we had also changed the layout of the third
room to make the tables there more accessible (see Venue).
As usual, we hosted around 40 dealers over the course of the
two-days, and this page includes brief descriptions of their
typical stock, as well as a selection of images. Click
on the thumbnails to view enlargements. The next fair will be
in March 2016.
If
you are a dealer, and would like to know more about booking
a table for future events, please Contact
us, and we will send you the appropriate information.

Andy
Dodridge Art Glass - 20th Century Art Glass
A regular visitor to Antiques@TheHolt,
this will be Andy's first time as a dealer, although
he regularly stands at other major antiques & glass fairs.
He started out restoring furniture, but developed
a passion for glass after buying a piece of Mdina. He now deals
mostly in the works of Michael Harris as well as art glass by
Julia Donnelly, Anthony Stern, Annette Meech and others.
Arcadia
Antiques - General Antiques, Collectables and Curios
Andrew Long has yet to miss an Antiques@TheHolt and
we're delighted he'll be back again this November. His stock
invariably includes an interesting selection of antiques and
curios, including clocks, musical instruments, glass, ceramics
and some select items of militaria. A Cotswold-based dealer,
Andrew is also a regular at the weekly Cirencester Antiques &
Collectables Market.

Andrew
can be contacted through this
website. |

Brook
Collectables - Val Sparks
Val Sparks will be on her own this November,
with Graham Draper unwell - we wish him a speedy recovery. We
will miss his astonishing display of 20th century glass, but
Val will more than compensate for his absence with her carefully
selected mix of period furniture, wooden boxes and treen, as
well as items of glasswares and ceramics.
Val
can be contacted through
this website
Alan
Bunce -
Antique & Contemporary Silverwares
We are very sorry to have to relate that Alan has been forced
to cancel this November, but the news is good. After surgery,
he's on the mend, and we hope he'll be fit enough, not only
to pay us a visit this month, but also take up his usual option
for the next Antiques@TheHolt in March 2016. It's
hard to imagine a Holt fair without his jaw-dropping array
of silver!
Carnation
Collectables - Vintage
Accessories & Jewellery
Anne Byard is another regular at
The Holt. Her stock typically falls into the 'Vintage'
bracket, with a carefully selected
range of accessories for discerning ladies,
including handbags, scarves, compacts, purses, perfume
bottles and early examples of 'designer label' wares.
She also stocks an extensive variety of costume
and vintage jewellery, and this time will also have
vintage clothing.
Coryca Antiques - Antique
Furniture, Silver, Glassware & Collectables
Rod and Kaja will be making their
Holt debut this November, and displaying a selection
of beautiful antiques including silverware, furniture,
crystal glassware & collectables.
They are sometimes to be found at the Friday market
in Cirencester, but have a permanent pitch at thge
new Banbury Antique Centre in Wardington.

Based in the Cotswolds just west of Oxford,
Andrew is one of the area's foremost repairers and restorers
of antique clocks and timepieces. A fellow of the Fellow of the
British Horological Institute, Andrew established his workshop

from clocks, toys and music boxes to barometers and barographs.
Peter
Forbes - Brass, Door Furniture, Metalwork, Tools & Gentleman's
Collectables
If it's brass you're looking for, then Peter Forbes is your
man. A familiar face at many fairs and markets across
the south of England, Peter offers genuine antique door furniture,

escutcheons and plates. He also stocks what might best be described
as 'Mantiques', including corkscrews, whistles and vintage
penknives.
|
Peter
regularly trades in Oxford (Thursday Market) and Cirencester
(Friday) and can be contacted through
this website. Additional images from his stock are
included on the pages from earlier
fairs. |

and bedecked with fascinating antiques and collectables. Their
stock is constantly changing, so it's hard to predict what they'll
bring this time, but writing boxes, silverwares, bronze figures
and ceramics usually feature.
