Retro Ronnie Newsletter - December 2015

Retro Ronnie Toyfairs - Newsletter #1!

As we continue to develop our fairs at Cirencester and Didcot ... and with plans afoot for a third venue as well ... we thought it would be a good idea to keep our regular visitors and traders informed of what we're up to, as well as share information about the toy collecting passion that fires us all!

Retro Ronnie WebsiteIn addition to the new website, launched earlier this year, we're proposing to distribute a regular Newsletter to people like you who share our interest and enthusiasm. Collectors can subscribe via the website, but we shall also be collecting email addresses at our fairs and adding our own contacts to the list.

If you don't want to continue receiving the Newsletter you can opt-out at any time - just click the 'unsubscribe' link below.

Cirencester Toy Fair - Christmas 2015

Cirencester ToyFair - Sunday December 20th

Our next event will be the annual pre-Christmas toy fair in Cirencester's Bingham Hall. This is always one of our best attended fairs and we've been fully booked for weeks. To get everyone into the festive spirit we'll be handing our free mince pies and chocolates - and that's in addition to the usual excellent on-site catering, including all-day breakfast and Christmas Cake - although not necessarily at the same time!

Dealer Loyalty Scheme

A new initiative we're introducing in 2016 is a Dealer Loyalty Scheme. We're enormously grateful for the support we receive from our dealers, many of whom 'stand' at all our events, both Cirencester and Didcot. Without them we'd have no "show", and to demonstrate our appreciation, we’re offering a half-price reduction on one regular pitch fee to any dealer who books a full season with us - applicable to the event of their choice. Contact us for full details and terms.

Cirencester Toy Fair - Christmas 2015

As we've hinted above, we're investigating another fresh development for the coming year, with the possibility that we may introduce a third venue for Retro Ronnie Fairs. Rest assured, as a subscriber, you'll be among the first to know when the details are confirmed.

Keeping it Brief
We're keeping this first Newsletter brief, until we're fully into the swing of things, so we'd like to conclude by wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

... unless ... that is, you're planning on visiting us at Cirencester on the 20th, in which case we'll be delighted to extend our festive greetings in person. If you are going to be there, then keep an eye open for Ronnie and Tim. Rumour has it that they might be dressing up for the occasion!

It's the way we tell 'em ...
It was Christmas Eve, and Rudolf the viking, son of the famous "Eric the Red", was toasting his toes beside the fire, his russet beard glowing in the light from the flickering flames. He smiled genially at his wife, Alva, who was sewing together the arms of a sealskin coat.
It was late, and the land had been in darkness for many hours. Almost together, they glanced upwards as a gentle sound, like the pattering of tiny feet, came from the roof of their house. "What's that?" asked Alva."Is it starting to snow?" She was hoping against hope for a White Christmas.
The viking warrior snorted, his belly shaking. "Oh no," he laughed. "It's not cold enough tonight, my love. It will be rain." "How can you tell?" said Alva. "Oh, I can tell," he insisted. "Rudolf the Red knows rain dear!"

Merry Christmas!
